Benjamin Peck is a freelance bassoonist, music teacher, and arts administrator in the Washington D. As a chamber musician, he was a national finalist in the Music Teacher's National Association Chamber Music Competition with the Nova Trio and a regional finalist for the Southeast Region of the U. He is an advocate for new music and can be heard premiering Alluvion for Two Bassoons on Ablaze Records.
In 1953 he went to Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and from 1954-56 he did a residency in oral surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
