Detailsview itemupdating e newvalues Pussychat sxe

I can get the information going through the cells by parsing the html but that smells Form View Update Event Args always has the Old Values and New Values collection empty.(Keys is too). Here is a code of My Detail View_Item Updating: Details View Item Updating Old Values New Values Hi, I'm trying to update values from Detals View using C# codebehind. Here is my detailsview: I tried adding a label to my page and then once updated Name had been assigned the value of the textbox I tried assigning that value to the label and it printed out the old product name not the one in the textbox.I can't see anything wrong with the code and it's driving me mad. hi, i think you miss something, try to see the table where you save the value of the fields you entered if it change anything, if it change anything, then you have put some code on your SP that retrieves data after the UPDATE code that you have. There you have access to the object via the Event Args. New Object or something like that You can cast this property into the corresponding type and make your changes.I know this is an old question but maybe this will help others that come across this problem like I did. I´m using a Details View but when updating, I cannot get the Old Values because the Details View Update Event Args. Note: I´m not using a datasource component in my application (Sql Data Source, Object Data Source, Entity Data Source, etc.).

The Details View control allows you to edit, delete, and insert records.

I want to do something simple like this: form View.

Data Bind(); All the examples i've come across show a declerative data source being used.

Ok, Now I'm sure this was working the other day and I don't think I've changed anything but now it's not working and I can't see anything wrong with the code.

Basically I have a details view with product information in it, when the user clicks edit it goes into edit mode when I change any of the fields and click update it updates but with the old values.

The product table is not updating with the new values.
